I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Oak Class, we are a mixed age class made up of children in Year 4 and Year 5.

The Oak Class team work in partnership with the children and parents alike to ensure that everyone can make progress, enjoy their time in school and develop their love of learning so that they can achieve their full potential in our nurturing and vibrant classroom environment. We pride ourselves on giving the children exciting and unforgettable opportunities that are rewarding and challenging so that everyone can shine their light (Matthew 5: 16). We provide a gateway of discovery through our diverse curriculum, with topics covered such as the Mayan’s Civilisation, Earth and Space, The Victorian Era, Natural Disasters, Anglo-Saxons and Vikings, The Tudors alongside all of our core curriculum subjects, as we support the children on their journey to becoming global disciples who positively impact on the world around us.
Through hard work, determination, resilience and dedication to their learning the children in Oak Class also make many happy memories, lasting friendships and develop an increased confidence to take with them on their adventures further up the school.

Oak Class
Term 3 2023-24
Oak Class have been designing and making bird houses for our school grounds. Mr Cox supported us with our wood-work skills, as well as our measuring, sawing, drilling, sanding and assembling skills. We are excited to watch birds use our houses over the coming months.
Term 2 2023-24
Oak Class visited Rockingham Castle where they were transported back in time to the Victorian era.
Oak Class spent time recreating beautiful, authentic Victorian Christmas decorations, based on their visit to Rockingham Castle to decorate their classroom.
